Yeah since I'm on the A50-12L I'm flying a Xoar 20x10E. Acceleration is great, top speed is great, but the torque roll is a bit much. I seem to need a lot of right aileron in upright harrier.

I've been flying my 74" Edge pretty much every weekend and leaving my poor 70 at home... but I'm gonna take the Velox out soon. I might try some right rudder trim to see if that helps harrier.

Really, this plane isnít all that much better than it was on a DLE20.
go 19x8 and see how you like it.. if you try 19x10 be very careful of the amps..amp it with either prop tho.. it should really go..

Another point to consider is that in case of a prop strike, a gas prop is more likely to bend your electic motor shaft than a lighter and more "fragile" E-prop.

Very nice job!!!! Great design on the graphics!!!!

And....in the second photo, the silver on the bottom of the wings has a gold cast to it.....makes me think the new Velox scheme would look outstanding (not that it doesn't already look great) if the silver was replaced with gold....(just my opinion of course)...

Man, a 70 minute flight is totally doable with that pack of yours.

I hope in the very near future we have stronger lighter packs that give us 10+ minutes of hard 3D.

Only time will tell...

Can anyone with the Velox with the original motor box take a quick measurement for me? I trashed the box on my Sukhoi (out of production) and it looks like the velox motor box is about the same size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Both the old and the new motor boxes are the same.....what measurements do you need?

try a 19x10 I think you will like it gooder. P.S. AJ explained to me one time that the gas props arent as efficient as electric props.Something about the pitch near the hub is different.(prolly due to the vibrations of the gasser) Anywho,Powerlines is bad about running gas props on lecky planes and they fly well. Get you a zoar or carbon 19x10 and enjoy.

I have a Xoar 20X10 carbon gas prop on both my 72" Extra, and 74" Edge on Hacker A60-5S motors, and they are outstanding...but I may try a Xoar 21X10 PJN on them...

Since Steve is running the A60 (big ol' hoss of a motor) on his 72-74"ers, I thought I would ask if you guys have any idea how an A50-12L will pull the same size airframe? Would I need 8s for either power or cg balance, or will 6s work with the A50, or do I need a bigger motor (I thought the 12L was originally recommended)?
