Another FPV Funjet

I've made serval major crash/repair on my first funjet so I decided to start with a new one.

He will still have the same setup :
-35A Atlas Black ESC
-Axi Gold 2212-12 1950kv with a 6x6 Cam Speed prop ( yeah, i'm 0.5 over )
-Futaba FASST 7ch receiver
-900Mhz 500mW Video Tx
- RCV922 Camera powered by a LM7805 linear V reg

I was able to go vertical and reach 120km/h, so this is fine for me.

Here's some pics :

As you can see, the outrunner is outside because of is low weight and, i've removed the small thing that was holding the shaft, so i dont break prop that way, that work well.

And here is the part for what i'm proud

The cam is holded with 3 magnets, so she is easy removable.

And, I will make a small "glass" in fron of the cam, so flight over clouds and fog will not affect visibility.

I will use 2200mAh 25C 3S Zippy

When I will make my first flight with this one, i will put my OSD in it .

Looks great!

Do you not worry that the Video Tx will get too hot inside the foam?

Looks awesome! Really clean. I might have to do this with my funjet. I'm running
Eflite Six Series speed 400 sized 2000kV
6x4 prop
Castle Creations Thunderbird 54 ESC
Castle Creations BEC at 6v
ar5000
Hitec HS65HB karbonite servos
3s 2200mah battery. Also using a 4s, but I am downprop-ing? to keep amps down.

Do you have a link to where you got the camera setup? This would be my first FPV plane, so I'm trying to figure out what I need to get.

What happen at the end?
Did the magnets break away or something?

wow johnnygab, that was a good vid... The ending was unbeleivable... Im amazed you got a good shot of the plane flying away from the canopy, thats a great still shot.

Did it survive? Looked like the plane flew very well.

the plane fly amazing!
Everybody told me that a axi gold 2212-12 is not enought power for a funjet.

Bs, unlimited climb!

The probleme with motor on hobbycity is that they are not efficient!

I dont really understand the crash because the plane was going almost straight down, at full throttle, so a speed of maybe 175km/h ( i can go up to 130km/h without going down )....+ the wind of 30km/h, thant might be a relative wind to the plane of 200km/h+++, the canopy simply came of, and...fall with the batery, finish at 10feet in a three.

the plane finish is "landing" 30 seconds later, 75 meters for the canopy in a crapy wood.

It took me and josso about 3.5h to find it, plenty of blood on our legs because of the raspberry plantation !!!

Thanks again to him!

The plane is in perfect shape, all magnet are still there! ( 8mmx2mm strong magnet x 4 ).

the only thing we didnt found is the motor cage, that is removable....anyway, i will buy the same motor again!

Too bad you're not closer Johny, we could use a third pilot for some formation work:
