Also, I understand that the Evo 7 might be easier to do because they, unfortunately, can not port over the model memories. Dave |

Great!
My Tx was received at Hitec Tuesday, so it might be at my door tomorrow. To bad I'll be driving to the Blue Sky's Over New Mexico DLG contest tomorrow and won't be back till Monday Oh well. At least I'll get to play with it when I get back

Can someone tell me if I understand the upgrade correctly? So, in addition to the firmware upgrade, my existing HFM-S synth module will be replaced with a new one, but my scanner module will no longer be operable? Is that correct?
There is so much 35 MHz and 40 MHz info mixed with a sprinkling of 72 MHz, that it is difficult to tell what applies to what. |

For USA customers, there will be no hardware changes, only firmware/software. You will still have your current frequency module and the scanner will still work. We will not have PCM capabilities here in the states.

What happens to an Evo 7 ... does it become fully functional or does it still have reduced capability?

It will have the full functions of the other Evo's. They just can't convert your model memories to the new format. You will have to reprogram each model.

Are the better antennas available here? I also may have missed this in an earlier post, are the 3 way switches now true three way? Thanks
