Evo Pro Update

What do we need to include (or exclude) when we send it in?

Transmitter
Synth module
Scanner module
Battery

The Multiplex Germany update/upgrade flyer shows multiple options like PCM upgrade or Service Check. Are any of these options available in the US?

Here is the flyer:
http://www.multiplex-rc.de/cms/vorsc..._en_090128.pdf

Also, I don't have the original box. Is that a problem?

Thanks,
Dave

I have a Evo12 that needs service for intermittent loss of signal. Can I send the TX in for service and upgrade to EvoPro software? Thanks

Dave- Send everything except the battery. That will save some weight. We are not offering the PCM upgrade in the US at this time.

Go Faster- That's fine. We'll give each radio a check up while its here anyways.

Just sent my backup EVO off. Included a bit of a laundry list of things to check, upgrade, recall check, tune up, check antenna, change freq

Sent it UPS ground, insured, with tracking #.

Just one thing, after the upgrade, will all the models, mixes, etc be converted to the new PRO format? Or do we have to email the .ROY file to be converted?

Sent my Evo 12 today via Priority Mail, insured with delivery conf. Should be there Monday!

Parcel post was $6.05, Priority Mail was $6.10. Hmmmm five cents? Let's throw caution to the wind and live like kings! I'll upgrade to Priority mail!

For me, Parcel post was $8.20 and Priority Mail was $8.15. Go figure. Guess which one I chose.

Hey Tony, I installed a Spektrum module in mine and no longer have the Multiplex 72 Mhz module in it. IS that a problem? Should I pull the Spektrum transmitter module and send the EVO 9 back without it and the battery?

Thanks Tony!!!

Guz- All the models in the radio will be converted to the pro format. Only the Evo 7 radios will loose the model information. On those, there is no way to convert them to the pro formats.

Barnesjonr - We don't need the module for the update. But while the radios here, we do give them a look to make sure they're still up to spec.

In one of the previous threads, regarding the upgrade, I asked if your rep. in Vancouver, BC, Canada will be doing the upgrades and the answer was positive. Does that still holds true and should I contact John directly? Would my Evo 7 receive the same treatment as if it was sent directly to you?

Thanks,

Zoran
