Sadly, I actually 'get' what he did. That's definitely an intentional modification. I think most folks would've just gone for a dually with airbags to do the same thing... Better yet, for the cost of the mod, he could've just purchased an inclined towing trailer.

Today in the news; The Sea Shepards have a new look and have upgraded their vessel a little after the recent loss of a smaller boat. With this new ship they want to "reach out and touch" the Japanese whaling fleet. Next they hope to aquire a B-29 "chase plane".
