Have just tried to order an OT Twin and Cub from the CS Engines site. During the checkout process I received the commendably frank notice "WAITING FOR YOUR MONEY". Let you know how it goes !

I bought one (CS Twin) late last year. Posted pics of it earlier in this thread.

The payment process is "interesting" but it all worked out for me.

An email to Han Peng at CS was always answered and he even emailed me 3 weeks after despatch to check to ensure I received the engine. How many e-tailers do that?

A CS Twin running report thread is underway on the "everything diesel" forum on another well known 'universal' site. Initial impressions are good. A short video of it running very rich and under compressed (first fire up).

Wow, that's the clincher for me, thanks ! I was a little ticked because they ask for the Paypal Fees added to their price, whereas these are usually for the Seller to pay; and shipping at $40 seems a bit steep....but what the heck, get it over with and get flicking ! Nice vid

A tip with payment by PayPal in this type of situation.

Tick that the payment is a 'gift,' and you pay the PayPal transaction fees.

The chaps at CS get their full price (you must add on the $25.00 shipping fee).

You pay less than "4.3%" they advise, and they get paid their asking price.

My engine arrived very quickly via EMS courier.

As far as price is concerned, when Han puts a twin in *bay (as he does from time to time) he always get way more than the asking price on the CS website!

Therefore, I conclude the price asked is fair. And who else is making new twin cylinder diesels?

MVVS 6.5 ccm DFS

MVVS .40 diesel. Butterfly MVVS carb. Will check with MVVS in Brno to see if it may be a factory one off or limited run conversion.

MVVS glow/diesel

These two have the same carb.
Both are well made. Each has very high compression, excellent piston/cylinder fit, no leaks.

A pair of MVVS in the air

The MVVS 6.5 (.40) are not a light build. Almost as large as the old K&B 60.
Laddie used a pair of them on his Twin Star Delta. During a rev up on the ground I almost lost my hold on the tail section; the static "pull" was a lot more than I expected.

I can confirm that....it's a chunky, powerful and reliable engine, with a dykes ring, separate combustion chamber (insert between head & liner), etc...

Here's my old Smog Hog with the MVVS 6.5 up front....

I have a diesel versiuon someplace too, but I have misplaced the pics of it.
I think I have three of the glow MVVS 6.5's along with my Pylon racing version shown here:

Gluehand, your early MVVS appears to have a slightly different carb. So, looking at the above engines I think we have three different variations. Maybe even four looking at Earl's pylon MVVS with the big throat ( Chas- no comments here!)

These modifications were my own.
The engine was purchased as a "C/L" engine with plain venturi & no silencer.
I made an adapter and fitted a Super Tigre 'MAG' carb, with a relatively small throat diameter, which worked great (improved fuel suction etc), particularily with the large-ish props I used....
Also, I made my own manifold and fitted a Super Tigre silencer as well....

Well there may be more variations of the MVVS 6.5cc engine too.
Here is a current version of the 6.5 here with a Blue Anodized head.
I also have a older one with a un-anodized head too. it is someplace around here, I need to take some pics of it for posterity. I have seen some with a black anodized head too. I was thinking the MVVS 6.5 brown head or orange head engines where for competition purposes. where you had a sport and a racing version of the engines with brown or orange heads. They say it is orange but it looks more brown to me.
