Tom
That's unfortunate, as it means myself and at least one other person I know will not be attending again this year.
I'm curious how it would have worked out had Justin been flying an airplane.....

I'm looking forward to NEAT again this year. Haven't missed one yet. This is going to be a busy fall. NEAT in Sep, KIEF in Oct, JR in Nov - Outstanding.

To loose a few pilots and protect hundreds of spectators is a good trade...

Sorry.

We thought of a few other solutions, but that would involve upsetting more than a "few" people.

Reading all this is getting me upset. As I am not sure if I am going to make it or not due to the wedding on friday. I think I will still pre-register, so Tom can pull my name for a prize and I wont be there. LOL!
Actually if I do come I may stay till Monday and give a helping hand cleaning up. If you guys need a hand that is. And I can maybe grab some last flights.

I signed up day 1 of registration and will be there on Wednesday I believe. Correct me if I am wrong Dswitkin. First time doing the entire weekend. Imagine I have not really flown this season yet and a lot of my E-flight stuff is down and out. I better hurry up and get everything together. Have a electric fly in the month of August in Long Island so that will be a warm up session and a reason to get my stuff together:-).

Umm.. will I buy that honda generator ????

Hey Tommy - I'm in. I do most of my flying at night, just need to be sure I have something "durable" for Saturday night's contest too.

Let's just hope it's dry after dark this year. Last year's after hours rain was no fun. I'll take fog though - it's always a blast flying low and slow though the pea soup!

Count me in...Night Flying at NEAT is the best! I'll have at least 3 dedicated Night Flyers.

This year we will have vastly improved illuminated balloons (internal LED) for even more fun during the Balloon Popping Contest.

Foam ARFs are a quick way to go - check out Tommy's plane above. A couple of well-placed LEDs will give you what you need to navigate in the dark. How many LEDs you want to use is up to you (and your budget ).

Another good choice is something from Multiplex. You can poke a hole in the Elapor foam and insert LEDs that way. Makes for some really cool effects.

Hey Guys!!

I am looking forward to being out there. I have been away for a few years as work has gotten in the way but it looks good for this year. I should have some cool new plane as well.

See ya soon,
