Thanks Al. That's a bit farther than I was thinking. I just grabbed a reservation at the Riverside Cafe And Lodge in Horton, about 10 miles away. See you up there with livinma1.

The 2009 Bathrobe, Kilt, and Toga Fly In

hi there from Toledo!

Due to incredible (or is that implausible or improbable?) popular demand there will be not one but TWO Bathrobe, Kilt, and Toga Fly Ins at Neat 2009.

The first BK&T Fly In will be on Friday morning, the Second on Saturday morning.

Starting time, as usual, will be 7:30 am and ending with breakfast at the Food Vendor's Venue at 9:00am or thereabouts (maybe sooner if the weather is wretched).

This year we will also embrace the kimono for gents and ladies (as well as raincoats, ponchos, trash bags, and slickers) as suitable attire for the BK&T Fly In.

Come fly with us in the early morning fog, rain, sunshine or whatever may occur. Waterproof your plane, waterproof yourself, and we'll see you at the Bathrobe, Kilt, and Toga Fly In.

Ciao for now -rjf

[quote=Tomapowa]Hey Tom,
Just wondering... any special plans for this being the 10th year anniversay?
QUOTE]

I've been wanting to ask somebody, why have people started saying "year anniversary"? The word anniversary already refers to years, in fact "ann" (annual, annum) is right at the beginning of the word. Saying "30 year anniversary" is like saying "yearly annual checkup", but I notice everybody is doing it, even in broadcasting and print. I hear some people speaking of "3 month anniversaries" and such, but just because those people use it wrong, that doesn't mean that people who intend to use it right should have to add the word "year" to be understood.

Ray, I wouldn't think of missing it for the world. Now I just need to decide if I need a new robe or not - my wife grabbed my old one

Good move Al - you know most of the "interesting" stuff happens after hours, and you really need to be there 24x7 to be part of that

Mid July already! Only weeks away. Time sure does fly.

This year I have volunteered for all three days with the addition of my wife all in for three days as well. She had a great time last year with the exception of a headache at the end of the day.

We are planning a day trip down Route 17 to see if we can find a place to stay that has internet access. That way I can still do daily photo uploads and get in the Friday night dinner as well.

Tom:
I have a great idea for getting the flight line strait as an arrow, so please drop me an email.

See you all soon.
Ta Ta for now.

hi there from Toledo!

hey Tom

Are you going to bring your own apparel to the BK&T Fly In this year?

Bring a plane too. And for that matter, how about some more of the SEFLI mob attending the early morning festivities?

Come one. Come All.

You'll be glad you attended the Bathrobe, Kilt & Toga Fly In.

ciao -rjf

ps: Stangrob, looking forward to seeing you at the BK&T Fly In. -r

Hi there from Toledo!

The official minimum age requirement for the BK&T Fly In is "Age > 0, Old enough to know better, and not quite dead."

This of course eliminates Bob Aberle of Sefli from participating, as he is known to be one of the walking dead.

So be there or be square at the Bathrobe, Kilt, and Toga Fly In.

ciao -rjf

ps: Some say that TIC will be at the BK&T Fly In with his Zagi but this is only a rumor. -r
