WM has a much thinner airfoil >> should have less drag

Speed increases until thrust equals drag in level flight with weight balanced by lift

ie slower in a climb, faster in a dive with gravity helping~~~~H

The Assassin is naturally a stronger and stiffer airfoil because it is almost twice as thick as the Widowmaker. If you are going into the hyper speeds with the Widowmaker you may want to stiffen it up a little with and extra spar or more aggressive taping. The Widowmaker won't break but it might flex at super speed. It is potentially the fastest airfoil but we have designed the construction around 80mph top speed and the 2812 motor.

Another note. I was flying a high speed Assassin the other day and the servos were stalling at the high speeds in maneuvers. I hit the ground at about 110+ because the servos weren't big enough to do the job and make sure you have maximized leverage so the servo isn't being stressed by how you install your pushrods. I would have to slow down to make the turns. Make sure that your servos can handle the speed too.

Slightly off topic.. My first scythe is done pretty much, built with the suggested gear from the site. Flying a 3s 1800... Does this little bugger need to rip pretty fast for nice cruisin. Is its cruising speed faster or slower than the assassin witg 2200.. Only other battery option ive got is 3s 1000 or i can buy a better fit bat

A 3s 1000mah should work fine on the scythe.
I don't think anybody is recommending an 1800mah for that plane...

I safe to fly my assassin with my Hitec Aurora 9 and a Minima 6E receiver? I am asking it because I had problems
using a Optima 6, 3S lipo 1.3 mah. The Hobiking 30a esc was not powering properly the receiver...

As I bought a GWS esc and it didnīt arrived, I would like to fly my assassin with anothyer setup, while it arrives to me.

The lighter the plane the better it flys. To put a big battery on a Scythe makes it hard to launch and it will land fast.

I like the 3S 1000 on my Scythes. I do fly the 1300 3S at times but it takes a harder throw to get it airborn.

Back to the assassin, i find mine drops the nose but im pretty sure my cog is good. And if i trim it much more or give full ele back i can stall it some, still climbs but not as id expect. Am i nose or tail heavy cuz i remember tuning up my radian pro and if it dove it was tail heavy? Or am i out to lunch lol

If your cg is correct, you're, by definition, neither tail nor nose heavy. Where does the plane balance, front to back?

Teeters nicely at 6 3/8 of an inch.

Upon further inspection i noticed my motor mount may have been slightly bent forward so instead of it being 90 degrees it was for sake of example 75... Would that thrust direction give me nose down

If this you first build stick with the 2812 for now and buy at least 2. Good luck.
