Splurging

MG90: 2.2 kg-cm & 0.11 s/60 deg @ 4.8v $7
MG90S: 1.8 kg-cm & 0.10 s/60 deg @ 4.8v $6

I splurge and use the MG90 for the extra torque and have been happy with them so far:

So asuming I did the right thing for the Assassin by putting the 90s servos in, would then the MG90 be more suited for a Titan sized wing what with the much bigger elevons?

I have both kinds of servos and they have both worked well in combat in this size of plane. They are commonly used even in our Reapers and Titans and I have them in my Hercules but I think we are asking them to do a little more than they were designed to do but they work. I get the MG90s.

I tore up a couple in my Reaper (the MG90s). If you have seen the way that thing has been treated, it's probably no surprise.

I think I have maybe trashed one on an Assassin sized plane. Again, the hit that took that servo out ripped the plane in two. The MG90s work fine on the Assassin. I like something a little stronger for the Reaper, I've gone back to the more expensive HiTec servo for my Reaper

I have 2 questions.

1. If I wanted to paint the assassin, do I do that before or after I tape it and laminate it?

2. Is 3M Tough Tape the same thing as scotch extreme tape? Will it work good?

thanks

Don't paint it.

Not the same. Extreme Tape is what you want.

What do you use to make it look nice?

I went to lowes and they didn't have extreme tape but said tough tape is the same. So I bought it.

I either use colored packing tape, something like this stuff
http://www.findtape.com/product343/J...packing%2btape

Or vinyl that's used for signs (cheap, I get it locally)

Lee has a link to an ebay store called paper street plastics or something like that, they have some really cool looking prismatic and other patterns.

I think I will paint it in the order that cliffo suggested. Does that work good?

Also, what exact extreme tape are you guys using? There are so many options. thanks.

Go light on the 3M90. Put a latex glove on one hand and spread it quickly with your gloved hand.

I decided I'd rather just use colored duct tape.

Does anybody know if I should put the duct tape on before the laminate or after?
