Adrian is a good friend. His planes are more like the Widowmaker with the thinner airfoil. He does like to put a lot of power on his planes. We fly in combat together frequently. He does use a lot of Velcro which is his trademark.

Lee- BTW- Jake is convinced that you should sell this HotRod as a kit
Turned out to be a sweet flying plane.
I need to get a scale under it- allup is probably going to be a little heavy for CTH standards

Sorry Guys looks like I omitted my setup.

This plane flies very good with many different setups, heavy, light, and even slight mods and still turns heads and draws spectators. Lee, this is a good airframe. Thanks for posting this thread and all the instructions. May even have a few new flyers in this area soon because of the Assassin. My setup has CF2822 motor from HK, HK939 servos, 18A Turnigy ESC, WOT with a APC 7X5EP is 9.5A and it has turned into my favorite plane. I just bought some quick charge GensAce 1300mAh and with short charge times I can go 10-12mins per flight. Heres the lastest pic with some colors on it so I can tell it apart from other Assassins.

Had a good time down in Ohio at the Mad River Flying association today as they hosted their first ever wing combat event. Good weather, Good food, Good people and a really nice place to fly. The limbo set up was alot of fun. Had a couple hits too.

Enjoy some video. Motion sick viewers need not watch!

Pat-
Glad you had a good tiime and was able to hook up with some pretty good combat. Mark and those guys are on the way to hosting an event as popular as our UnCivil War- Keep up the great work guys!
Looks like a blast. Just from what they posted here they sound like a great bunch.
I grew up not far from that part of the country.
Excellent vid! Great air to air. Thanks for posting it!
Makes me feel like a slacker for not having a camera
Maybe I'll make it back up that way again sometime, Oh yes, and if I do there will definitely be a plane in the trunk!

What is your wing span again.

Jake is a wild man.

If you put a 3530 on an Assassin you would be flying Mach 6. It's like being on adrenalin drugs. I can hear you going to the local plane drug dealer (me) and saying MORE POWER ... MORE POWER please More Power I am having withdrawals.

You know what happens to people who do this.

Got my stuff from planes insane and one of my 3 boxes from HK today 16 days and counting for a partial order from HK 2.5 days from planes insane thanks. one problem the prop adapter came with two screws in the bag and there were two screws loose in the box, I assumend that the loose ones were for the Motor they wer not. As I atempted to get the bigger screw in the prop adapter it broke off in the adapter, cant get it out Thanks for the quick order but still at a bit of a stand still, any Ideas?

Getting ready to install all the great stuff I got from planes insane, I don't understand how to adjust things for CG. I have mocked up the build and have only cut in the servo holes (three) I have not cut in the Battery yet just used blue masking tape to hold all the components in a possible location. Now how far back from the nose should she balance on my finger tips? At The moment it is balanced at 6.75 inches from the nose on the bottom.

second question the control horns are different than the video and it talks about 5/8 of a inch in height? Do I just put them through the aileron in line with the servo and how far back from the hinge? it looks like about 1/4 inch in the vid?

With taped ailerons do I set it up flat to the bottom or top of the wing?

RTF Here's a pic from the first page. The instructions are there. The second set of instruction photos shows the updated horns. Try to get the hole of the horn right on the hinge line between elevon and wing trailing edge. The slit will be very close to the edge of the elevon just be careful.

Leave the screws a little loose, and bump them up from flat about 3/16 of and inch using the bottom as "flat"

CG is 6 to 6.5 " back from nose. This is the "ballpark" and should be good enough to fly.
