I wonder if my aileron response is better because I am not flying a light motor or pack. I have near 200W of power and I wonder if the slightly heavier plane at 18oz results in me having more airflow over the wings in a hover, resulting is more responsive ailerons. Seem to make sense to me. Never the less I am going to order Dubro Long Arms. If any of you are flying with Hobby City HXT 900's on aileron, I believe these will fit the splines.

I use those Dubro Arms on my Futaba and HS servos, love them.

I am with you, standing still in a hover, Prop wash is all you got for the Ailerons to move with, helps to burp the trottle a tad if you want more. Your thoughts on the weight have merit. With Express running a 3S1300 <near double the weight of my 3S750> and still being the same AUW as my plane, he is going to need a 3S2200 Lipo to get there.

What? Since when do you use ailerons in a torque roll?

I will be installing the Dubro long servo arms this weekend. Like previous I don't feel I have much shortage of Aileron anyway, when I run at 125%. But I would like to see. The Silhouette continues to develop my 3D flying, rolling harriers are now good, so are rolling circles. Low hovering will be next..... I'll post again on long servo arms once I fly them.

Nice thing about long arm is you dont need to hook at the horn as close to the hinge to get the same amount of throws. Further from the hinge allows for smoother movments.

Cool, I don't fly with any expo anyway, so a little less fierceness of response may be handy.

I love Expo.... If nothing else I refer to it as my "Twitchy Stabalizer"

Ailerons for torque rolling are better

Also, I went out today, and the modification made it MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

Soo much more control response with ailerons maxed out to about 45*. Rolling harriers are super easy, although it kinda just floats through them too much.. No problems bringing them down to 1"

Inverted, KE and the likes are also just as easily, and I haven't got a problem getting a bit of dirt on the tips of everything from the runway being too high
