I was trying to set up Eagle Eyes using my radio and via the usb cable. Both. I left the plane outside to have gps signal but nothing happened again. When the pan angle is changing there is no servo moving. Only a buzzing noise inside the servo. I try many type of servo like 360 rotation and standard too!!! Nothing happened. I sent a message to Bill Parry days ago but no responce yet. Only once the servo saw moving.

billybo,

I wonder if you are thinking like I was at first.

The EE is only as smart as it is trained.

It does not recognize the servo positions until you tell it where the positions are.

You need to power everything up, and have EE and the OSD plugged into the computer. Then you need to move the servos intp position by choosing + & - in the computer program .

After the antenna is in the position that you desire for the angle that you are setting, you hit save.

Go through each angle and set them accordingly, then do it for maximum and minimum tilt.

be sure to save each setting, then you can test it in the flight simulator to make sure that it is following the plane in the simulator.

billybo,

FWIW, I blow a fan across my VTx while I am calibrating so it doesn't over heat.

This way you can leave it transmitting for an extended period of time if needed.

Hi Kreu, we have not completed the firmware to support telemetry logging to SD card, but that is still in our plans. Sorry it is taking so long!

Hi Guys,

I set up and flew my EE groundstation using the diversity function for the first time today. Dead simple really. Update the firmware, plug in power and receivers, and off I go.

One question as this is the first time I've used a diversity setup, how do you know which receiver is in use at a particular time? I'd love to have an on-screen display option to depict this, or even a "beep" low or high to tell me which is active. Is this possible? Would many find this useful?

There is a setting to do diversity beeps in one of the menus I believe. I was reading about it tonight in the manual.

This is on the future list of Bill.
But so far you could change the volume on input/channel 2 with the pot.

Got the beeps working today. I was looking for an option in the PC setup screen, but should have read the manual that says to use the OSD menus. Sorry about that

In the end I used the volume change method mentioned above, and it works, but is a bit of a work around.

Anyway, I'd still like a feature that tells me which receiver is active. Something like a double beep for antenna two, or a high / low beep. I find it pretty hard to hear the beeps too, since I'm not exactly right on top of my Ground station, and I am listening to the flight audio. Could anything be added to the OSD to tell me, or is that too hard? I guess that would mean the GS has to be an OSD too, which is isn't.

Cheers all.
