In the past, my EMS orders were shipped overnight to Los Angeles and then the USPS Priority mail got it to me in 3 days.

Last order went EMS to New York City and the USPS Priority mail got it to me in 2. The order shipped on the 2nd day so it still took 4 total like before.

I still shop here first B4 Towwer and and US sites...

Airmail to the US rather than EMS from anywhere in Asia (infact from almost anywhere) takes a long time.

To Australia and New Zealand is a totally different story. From Hong Kong normal mail listed as 7 to 14 days once posted generally takes 2 to 3 days without fail and has for every one of the 40 or so orders I have placed in the past. I placed an order at the same time as a mate at work ordered. He chose EMS I chose normal post. They arrived the same day.

I feel sorry for Hobbico/Tower, who can't compete with Chinese vendors. From the other hand, they should have seen this coming--you can't continue selling the same stuff for twice as much as HK is charging...

Are you like me and get sick of the whines about how poor service is from HK, how long it takes to get an order and how fantastic suppliers in USA are.

How is this. Two online hobby sites in USA, both of long standing, non RC supplies.
No 1, ordered on 9th October, e-mail saying dispatched on 5th November, no contact in between order confirmation and dispatch e-mail.
No 2, ordered on 11th October, enquired as to delivery 4th November, on back order and no indication of how long it will now take, no note received indicating that it was on backorder.
No 2, ordered on 2nd November, confirmation of order on 4th with expected dispatch date on 6th November, e-mail on 5th noting items not in stock but on back order

I have dealt with both for about 15 years so I know I can trust them but this part of their service sucks in comparison to HK. If some of the people on RCG had dealings with these and another couple of US based sites they would have reversed the order, lodged a dispute with paypal, and be whining on the vendors forum.

I just placed an order from HK. Zippy 2200 30 C packs.
I used regular Air Mail just like my last order which took
19 days. Lets see how long they take this time.
I am not complaining . 19 days for less than 1/3 price batteries as the LHS charges is worth the wait.

Have had 4 more orders in the last month (3 EMS and 1 registered airmail) and all have been confirmed packed within 3 days and despatched and then in my hands within 3 days. I am still yet to get a bad item as well. Damn i have a whole heap of spare gear sets and CA aplicators (making up weight cheaply)

hmmmm... must be my feminine side but I feel the need to go buy some stuff........ Any ladies reading this... don't worry, guys are just better at pretending they havn't shopped.

my order has stayed in the processing section now since 1 week. In spite of all parts being on stock. I hope it is still going to be better then the one order which never showed up (even though I paid for it...) So far out of 13 orders 12 have arrived but not a single one in a reasonable time. good price bad delivery that is how i know hobbyking

Unfortunately I feel I have a record in the other direction - I have a package stuck in US customs for almost three weeks (there will be three weeks tomorrow):

Date # Location Delivery Status
20-Oct-2009 Hong Kong Item posted.
20-Oct-2009 Hong Kong In transit.
21-Oct-2009 Hong Kong Processed for departure.
22-Oct-2009 Hong Kong The item left Hong Kong for its destination on 22-Oct-2009
24-Oct-2009 United States of America Arrived.
24-Oct-2009 United States of America Pending customs inspection.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do for it?
Thanks,
Mihai
