He he.
Don't forget the fall electric fly-in at Hodges. Very low key, especially for the SEFF staff who can actually relax and fly.

I wish it wasn't a 1400 mile round trip for us and we'd be there for sure! We went to the inaugural fall fly in and had a wonderful time too! I would sure like to come to it again.

I have been to previous Fall Fly Ins at Hodges, they're always a great time! This past year they renamed it in memory of Dan Stevens. This year it will be held October 10th and 11th.

Any event at Hodges is worth a visit. You can keep up to date on what is happening when here...

There was also the Pop Curtis Memorial Fly In just before SEFF. To get an idea of what it's like at a "smaller" event, you can check out a report here...

Of course. That one is a blast as well.

Get in good with those hodgehounds, and they will treat you like family, or better!

One thing is for certain, you won't go hungry, if you hang with them.

Not sure yet. We tend to shift dates so as to not hold SEFF the same weekend as Top Gun as many folks go to both.

Last year Frank published the dates for Top Gun 2009-2011 or so. Since then...the dates have been removed. As soon as I get a solid date from Frank....I can get with Mac Hodges on a date for SEFF. Frank does not have much flexability as he is tied into the available dates the airport will give him. We are not much better off as we have to work around Easter, Top Gun, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Joe Nall and other events at Mac's field.

Try to miss Ribfest in Gatlinburg too if you can.

$12 gets you an armband (like at the fair), a plate, and napkins. Then you eat all the ribs and hot wings you want before you vote on your favorite. Yummm!
