How can we improve our website?

Hello!

We hear periodically that our website can be intimidating to new Eagle Tree customers. We made some changes last year to try to improve this, but there is always room for further improvement.

We'd LOVE your feedback on what we can do to make the website more user friendly, especially to Eagle Tree/data newbies!

And, don't hold back. Our feelings won't be hurt.

Here's the link: http://www.eagletreesystems.com

Regards,

Bill, for Eagle Tree

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the invite to comment.

How about a table to show compatability between components, ie e loggers v1 - 3 plus seagull etc down one axis and across the other all peripherals like GPS, altimeter etc. A tick in the box if it works together and a numeric if you need to refer to a note below the table. Maybe need to create a large PDF to display it well.

Not related to the website but to your process, how about a sticky for product improvement suggestions. I could start with a suggestion to make Specktrum RF link info displayable on the power panel.

regards
Geoff

Bill has a good start on a feature matrix at:

I bookmarked it a while back, but cannot remember how to find it. It would be nice if it were more obvious, and more web friendly.

Dave

I agree, a table about compatibility would be real great.

I bought the combined brushless motor + temp sensor attachment (MicroPower Multi-Expander ) because the instructions said it was compatible "with all versions of the EagleTree" data logger. Unfortunately, it wasn't compatible with my v3.

So it's essentially useless and a waste of a purchase. Anyone want a MicroPower Multi-Expander?

Is it possible to have a sticky thread pointing to the latest beta / pre beta / release software. At the moment, the info is buried in threads about specific probs and not easy to find...

Hey Bill. Your GPS expander web photo is apparently the old version. Old red version shown versus the new version.

i think the organisation of the website is rather chaotic.
On the suport page instead of the pull down menue a list of links would be eazier to understand and move the search option to the top menu bar.
Seperate the description and the sale parts and combine all products under a webshop part..
Make one table of all the expanstions and what they are compatable with. (see sugestion in other posts)

thats all for now

How about a link/database to old FW versions, some people getting in trouble after update and don't keep the old versions. I can see request of old versions too in the forum.

I'm fairly new to owning Eagletree products myself, but recently purchased a v3 logger, gps, sensors, and waiting for an OSD Pro.

I do a lot of software beta testing and noticed something today on the site that I would change.

All of the software versions are named "setup.exe". They should probably be named what they are. Something along the lines of "Eagletree_Recorder-7.87_final.exe".

Some listing of what is the current firmware would be nice. Unless I'm missing it I only see the pc software version, not the firmware for my eLogger v3

Something with the software itself, not the website.

When you download the data, clear data, or update the unit. "Done!" "OK" box should pop up.

In the settings make it so you can also turn off the notifications if you don't want them...
