3DHS Edge 40 vs. A.J. Slick 42 question...

I really want a 3DHS plane and will be buying one in the next month or two. Both of these planes look awesome but I have a pretty simple question about them. I have a stock of 1800mah to 2100mah Lipos, mostly 2100's. Which of these planes would be better suited to handle these batteries? I know the edge 40 can handle it but heard it's better to use a lighter battery with it so should I wait for the A.J. Slick 42? Would that be a better match for these Lipos? Thanks to any help and advice in advance. Really looking forward to flying one of these planes.

The 42" Slick should be a tad bigger and thus better able to handle the load better.

I'm flying my 40" Edge on Thunder Power 3s 2100 Pro Lite packs and it's got more than enough to punch out of a hover. Obviously lighter is better, but I think your packs will work just fine.

Having extensively flown the 51" Slick and 47" Edge, I really can't decide between the two planes. I'm guessing it's going to be the same with the smaller Slick and Edge, so I'm going to get a pair of 42" Slicks as well.

So, as far as which plane is best for you.....I suggest you buy whichever one you like because the batteries you have will work great in either of them.

Okay thanks for the advice guys. I think as of now I'm leaning towards the 42 Slick but I do love that green Edge. However I told my wife it would be a couple months before I bought another plane so the A.J. Slick might work out for that reason too. Thanks guys, good to know I have options.

I am having a hard time getting my 3DHS 40" Edge to hover. It does harriers with just a little wing rock. It will knife edge with a little down input to keep it in a straingt line. It does great blenders. The inverted flat spin is right on plane. I tried moving the CG back and even so far back the plane pitches up when inverted. I still can't get it to do a descent hover. The nose pitches over almost as soon as I put it in a hover. Is this plane sensative in a hover. Tip stalls with this plane are very hard to do.
