Many thanks Don. I read elsewhere you were enjoying a family holiday - I hope a good time was had by all.

Thanks Don. I made a paper mock-up last night and it fits perfectly. Now just to pick up some plastic sheet on Monday and we're good to go.

source for making your own exhaust templates

i found a site for a shareware program to create your own exhaust cone templates. it's shareware, so i think your usage timewise is limited. here is the link:cone@pulserate.com

Don,

What size tail cone should I put on those twins? They will need to be about 6" long but the exit percentage I am unsure about. If you don't really have a recommendation then I will go with 90%. Do you have anything drawn up for that by chance?

Don, what exit diameter do you suggest for the EDO type I with a Wicked outrunner? I may do the nip-and-tuck on my Shark, but because of the angled exhaust outlet I can't put a tailcone on it.

I use around 52mm diameter for 80% FSA. You may want to go 85% though on the shark which would be 53.8mm

Thanks Don! Surprisingly, that's almost exactly what the factory outlet size is, I'm measuring 53mm. Looks like it has a built-in nip and tuck! That might explain why it already seems pretty zippy

Don do you have a Template for the 70mm Meteor Jet? Also do you think the Multiplex Twister could benefit from a Tube?

Here is a spreadsheet I wrote that will give you everything you need to draw your own cone template. Of course you will need a protractor and a Sharpie but it's free and if you don't register it's still free and you can use it without waiting a zillion seconds.

I made an error in the original spreadsheet and fixed it. Sorry about that. This sheet has been verified. Same link as above.

Don, can you do one for that rclanders 68mm unit I bought off you a few months back that is about 6" long? That's an awesome edf.

Also, I hope one day you start doing 70mm units. I am in the market for them

I don't have any of those in stock to measure to get the dimensions off of. I kind of got annoyed with RCL as they raised dealer prices about 15% so have not ordered anymore.

Guess I'll just wing it... I have a motor to mail you. Broke another blade off. Probably send it next month. The wicked 4000kv works very nice on a hawk sky. I get 15 min off a 4S 1800 40c by shooting the plane up for 20 then gliding for a minute
