Susquehanna Soaring 2009
The first Susquehanna Soaring was a great event. Thanks to all the pilots and spectators attending. The wind was fine the first 2 hours, but started picking up after 2pm. We had 4 tow planes on duty, all electric. A total of 27 pilots attended, bringing electric, scale, TD, DLG/HLG gldiers in all sizes. I had a lot of fun, hope to see you again! Thanks also to my helper crew! All photos in my post taken by Mike.

Alex,
Thanks again for a great Saturday. RIP for my Minimoa, but it will take to the skies again over DE this August. Here are my shots for the record... Steve Last edited by SPasierb; Apr 26, 2009 at 02:18 PM. |

Thank you for the efforts to get another Aerotow going. The rapid growth of Aerotowing here on the east coast has expanded our possibilities for flying.
Alex and his crew did an excellent job and provided another great venue for flying. The winds later in the day did cause a few problems but nothing we couldn't handle. As the pictures show this was a wide open area for flying and the winds did not stop anyone from flying. The first Susquehanna Soaring may be over now but I am already looking forward to next years event. Heres a few pics I was able to take between tows cooper998 |

Alex,
Thank you and everyone at the field for making the trip up from VA so enjoyable. As a new flyer I learned a lot and look forward to seeing everyone down the road. I will be sure to come up next year. Chuck |
