Phoenix sim

Can anyone help me? I spent R400 on an esky simulator with usb tx incl. Then I DOWNLOADED Clear View simulator and paid another R400 for registration. Now I'd like to try Phoenix rc sim as the above mentioned are'nt very good. Problem is I need a usb dongle to get comms between my tx and pc. Can anyone help me with either a dongle for Phoenix or a crack?

The best thing would have been to never buy the esky sim or the phoenix sim. It would be better to get the lates Realflight sim from your local hobby shop.

That said, ask yourself what you need the sim for.

For learning to fly (becoming familiar with orientation etc). The esky is fine. Did you know that esky comes free with many of these cheap Artech kits. The artech Cessna definately has it. You end up using your standard remote to connect to your PC with the supplied cables.

For practising routines and maneuvers you want better physics and graphics you will have to shell out more cash. The Ikarus sims are popular but expensive. The Realflight sims are less expensive and have great graphics but I found the physics to be a less believable than the Ikarus equivalent. I have not used the latest Realflight sim. I believe it has improved.

I don't want to sound condescending but you should do a little more homework before you buy something. You are R800 down and do not have a sim that you like. RCGroups has a forum for rc flight sims. Go read up on the things you want to know about there.
