Can't wait to get replacement EXP. I lost mine because of dead elev. servo Still have both wings, so I have some extra parts for a new Extra
Btw, Extra flies much, much better than profile Yak-54e. I owned one and only liked it. I love EXP!
New Edge looks really cool, looks like it would be a great companion for Extra

EXP shipment is due next week and we will have plenty of replacement parts.
We currently have cowls, canopies, wheel pants in stock.

Problem with motor cutting out - need some help
I've had my extra for about 2 months now and have about 50 or so flights on it.
Same setup since the beginning:
Torque 2814/820 brushless motor
Airboss 45 Elite ESC
Rhino 2350 4s
Spektrum AR 6200 receiver with remote antenna
Have never had a problem until today when I almost lost the plane twice.
Here is what happened both times - full power knife edge type spin - motor stops and feel like the plane is not responding for 1-2 sec then regain full control. (don't know for sure if I lost servo control or just power since it was in a violent spin both times but I suspect it was just loss of power and since I was in a spin felt like I had lost the servo control)
Both times I was able to recover, the fist way up and didn't worry but the second was just a few feet off the ground.
My first thought was a radio glitch BUT the receiver had solid lights indicating no power loss and no loss of communication so that pretty much excludes the radio.
Only thing I can figure is that maybe the esc is bad.
This is my first time with this type of problem so welcome any input.

Check if you are getting a lower voltage detection on your AR6200 (are the LED blinking?) Also is your motor/ESC/battery getting hot? I would also get a watt meter on it...can you make the cut out happen on the ground?

Sounds like bec issues to me. Try a separate bec. Also get a watt meter and be sure you aren not pshing esc to hard.

Motor gets warm not hot - never felt the esc after a flight.
I think this is my only plane I have never put the wattmeter on. I had bought the power combo from EFRC and used the recommended 12x6 prop so I figured I was OK.
Put the wattmeter on it today and got:
Guess I either need to prop down or get a bigger esc.
Anyone else have the power combo?
If so what prop are you using?

I'm running the Torque 2814/820 now after smoking my 900 last week, and I'm drawing 46 amps with the apc 12x6 on a fresh 4s pack. It doesn't pull quite as hard as the 900, but I guess that's why the 900 lost all it's magic smoke
58 amps does seem high, maybe something's rubbing
