^ All good advise!
A drop of oil on the tap doesn't hurt either.
Just work the tap/bolt in and out slow and easy, shouldn't be a problem.

Whoo hoo!!!! Got it re-thread! Thanks all! Put a bit of lub on, took my time going in and out and and it's good as new. Now to finish installing servos and I'm good to go. Too bad Chicago is properly named. It's gotta be 25 mph winds today.

Good luck 3flyguy! My maiden flight was in 10mph winds and it was very smooth. My biggest issue was the roll rate and landing. Sealing the hinge gaps made an incredible difference on roll rate wd-40 fixed my landing issue. Basically it would want to nose over every landing. Turns out the wheels were not spinning freely and acting like brakes! Hope it looks the same before and after the maiden!

Thanks! Probably will be awhile before the maiden. Supposed to be snowy and cold this week. High of 26F. I'll get on the sim and practice and may go to indoor flying tonight
Thanks again all.

I store mine hanging from the ceiling. It takes a few minutes to make these racks out of PVC, but the last pretty well (2+ years so far) and make the planes easy to access.

The only reason I know of to keep it off the floor (other than tripping hazard) is to prevent flat spots on the wheels.

Any hardware store. It's pipe insulation, comes in several diameters. There is a foam type and a rubbery type.

I just hang mine from a hook with some thick string. Sorry about the dust. that plane had one flight put on it in Dec 2011 and it's hung there as a back up since.

I want to sell off my model car collection so I can get those show cases out of there. Then I'de like to hang the planes vertically from the wall like Ducati Tim does with his fuselages, only I would leave the wings one them. It will be a lot easier to hang them or take them down, plus it would display them better too.

I like that idea. One made from wood and wheels on the bottom would work for me.
