Now everything makes sense, now I know, why I HAD to buy that modified fourstroke head...I hoped this bike would be available some day!
This bike is definetly a milestone in the history of RC bikes!

Good call, The 7075 has the same strength as 1018 steel. Most manufacturers would not spend the extra $$$ on it. I commend you. Be careful the anodizer does not burn them. Warren

I have a large piece of 1.3" billet left over from a job to use. If you look closely at Lido's purple chassis, the 7075 parts are darker. My Anodizer is 15 minutes away and has done a great job for years.

I'm thinking 6-9 months if I stick with it. I know really fast ways to make the Nylon parts and even the fuel tanks are not too hard to do. But it's still a load of work and materials. It will be a stretch to pull it off. I've decided to do 24 or it will not be worth doing.
I'm getting ready to saw some BILLET!

Hey Nolan, I can't tell is it still a 2 speed? Or in your new design did you swap it out to be a one speed?

I've told a few that it would be between 750-1000 USD. I want to go through the process of machining again before I set it all in stone.
It will also depend on what I can afford to add to the kit. Things like wheels, forks, ele. starter. And most likely you will need to supply your own motor and carb.

The SS Swing arm is one speed only. This freed up the design to have less moving parts in the drive train, made the assembly stronger, easy to change gearing, and moved the center of gravity to the middle. It also moved the pipe out of harms way and will not hose the rear brake with oil.
I could see having a long swingarm drag bike option with the two speed. It just doesn't work well without engine braking if you need to turn. The bike will quickly go from walking speed to almost 50mph with one gear, just fine for roadracing.
