Sapac L-39 foam best dress up contest

There are so many schems for L39, so we come up a simple version, mostly white to leave room for you to paint it youself.
Post your paint job, let people judge.

The winner will get a composite version of L39, with fan and the new Sapac motor (1600 watts with 5S), and a set of retracts.

Game is on! The contest will end on Jun 20, you will have two months.

Here she is ready to roll! I have about 10 flights on her before the paint, so I am hoping the paint job is not the curse of death haha.

OK... My bird is nose heavy! CG 612mm from the nose or right at the LE of the main gear retracts. 4S 3200 20C. I would like to use a 4S 4350 25C that I have. I could cut some of the foam away toward the wing saddle but, I do not want to weaken the structure. I can't move the fan aft without major cutting. Brian? Anyone? Also, I am almost ready to prime and paint. I am concerned about painting the bottom of the wing with the preinstalled servos and hinges. I can put a small amount of vaseline on the hinges but, is there any need to avoid painting the servos, servo arms, or the wires?

Thanks,

Aaron

Mine is balanced right at the leading edge of the retracts, which is right around 600mm from the nose I believe. If its close don;t worry about it. If its a hassle to cut out foam and it won;t take much to balance, just add a little weight to the tail for now before hacking it up. Just tape it to the bottom. You can cut into it and glue it in permanently if you want of make room inside to move the battery back. Nose heavy takes a lot less weight to fix than if it were tail heavy, so thats a good thing!
