But, neither of us know where his elevator trim is at with the wing in section. It could be one click of up trim more than you run your Typhoon at in section....
In that case, adding one click of down would only bring it to exactly the same setting as you are currently at.

My point is, it's better to maintain speed than to slow even slightly stall any time the plane is flown hands off. That's my own personal experience, anyway.

Adding camber effectively increases the incidence between the the wing and tail. Unless the CG is far forward, normally this requires a very small trim adjustment at the tail, and is very easy to handle with a all flying stab.

But whatever works is best.

I have enjoyed the posts and pictures from the Typhoons. I agree that's a agile speedy and exciting glider.
At the start of my second flight I couldn't reach the aileron stick due to the Tx-glove quickly enough so it crash-landed inverted. This did the flap servo attachment to the wing no good but wasn't apparent at the next start. This resulted in a serious crash. We could speak of a domino disaster.
The pod which isn't made of carbon but of a rather thin layer of glass was destroyed, The nosecone was partially cracked. I made a new pod from plywood.
Because of the internal repair of the nosecone I had to sand away a thin layer of the white gelcoat which unveiled the carbon.

They are a really nice plane. Well worth the wait in my opinion. There are faster planes, and there are better thermal planes, but I really like how well rounded this plane is. It does everything very well in my opinion. Great bang for the buck.

Thanks Christopher, the vid is just a quick lash up taken with a cheap head cam so lacks in quality, but the set up is versatile. The guys are great pilots and Ruapuke is a fun place to fly with an excellent landing area.

Yep the track is Classical Gas by Mason Williams, with him playing one of his unaccompanied guitar versions. My favorite vids on YouTube are of him playing surrounded by an orchestra and the technno/pop version by Vanessa Mae.

Well after the wait, it finally is in & built. Hope to get it in the air in the next couple of weeks weather permitting. Came out at 1470 Grams with just under 200 grams in the nose. Push rods still hit the joiner if you don't lower the holes but no biggy.

Finished my (Carbon) Typhoon a couple of weeks back.

Spektrum AR6200 Rx
4 X Hyperion DS095-FMD for flaps and ailerons.
2 X Hitec HS-5085MG for rudder and elevator.
4 Cell 2000mAh Eneloop square pack.

Maiden was uneventful and I've been enjoying flying her ever since.

Don't they cut a fine figure going through the air.
