• Reinforcing and stiffening fuselage, wing, stabilizer and rudder
• Use alum, cord, carbon fiber or wood for modifications

NOT ALLOWED/UNACCEPTED!
• Changes to airframe from stock- rounding the outside edge of airframe, stabilizer & rudder
• Change the size or using only one aileron
• Using no rudder
• Using less than the entire elevator
• Changing the timing of the ESC
• Changing the incidence or location of wing stab or fin
• Covering with film or filling outer surfaces, trim is allowed

* The Castle Creations Thunderbird 18 must be mounted visibly

I have been trying to download a JPG file and cannot seem to make it work. When I review my reply, all I see is [IMG]. I would have expected to see my plane when I review my reply. What am I doing wrong?

There are two ways to post images on RCG. One is to link to an image file located on a website somewhere else and the other, as I have done above, is to download the picture to my PC then upload it to RCG as an attachment to my post.

The first method is not used much, it uses the [IMG] tags as shown here.

The second method requires you to click on the "Manage Attachments" button that is below the area used to type your reply. This opens up a new window where you can upload files, designate the order they are to appear in, add a caption, or delete attachements. Once done which adding pictures click "Save Changes" then close the window. You will not see any of these attachments when you preview your post, you just have to trust that they will show up when you submit your reply.

Hopefully, you will see a picture of my racer. It weights 13.5 oz, has a light ply front end and did not need any lead weight. I am looking forward to flying it.

I haven't seen any sign-up for colors. Are we using streamers again this year and just relying on those?

I took a small video of my plane and how I've placed everything. Feel free to ask questions. Right now I've not had to add any weight to balance the plane at the recommended CG.

Well, she is finished. Took her out this Sunday for her maiden flight. Only a few clicks of trim and good to go.

Kind of seems slow compared to last years racer. Any thoughts?
I'll get the tach and watt meter out and take some readings.

Hey guys.... I'm one of the Eugene guys and wanting to get my own plane to jump into the frey, what are the latest specs? I have heard a 3s lipo pack is now used? I'll head up to the field this weekend if I don't hear something soon.. =)
