What's Goin On With FBXL Parts??

Every sight I frequent, including Horizon Hobby are out of stock on almost all FBXL parts. Parkflyers even called after I placed an order to tell me they are no longer carrying FBXL parts. Anyone know what's goin on??

On a side note, I am in dire need of a prop. Anyone have an extra I can buy?

He has the FBXL props listed as "Out of Stock" also. I called him to see what in the world is goin on. He said there is only 1 distributor for them and the shipment is coming in next week. He said everyone is in the same boat and to check back next week and most companies should have them again.

My LHS is 40 miles away.

I placed an order with Hobby-Warehouse with directions to cancel the order if they are out of the props. We'll see if I get an email tomorrow saying they are out.

I appreciate that! If I get the dreaded "We're out of stock" email tomorrow, I'll take ya up on that. I'll pay your cost plus shipping. I'll let ya know.

Firebird XL parts have been replaced by the Fighterbird parts, which are interchangeable between the two. These parts are available from the International Electric Models website.

FBXL Prop

Dwavs:

I've got an extra prop, as well. Let me know if you need one.

I bought a few extras with the XL and have never had to use one (knock on wood).

Nice choices in planes. The SS and FBXL seem to compliment each other.

I appreciate your genorousity. I will let you know if my order is out of stock.

The only reason I need one is because I wrecked my FBXL into a powerline last week and cracked the fuse near the tail. I went ahead and ordered a second fuselage on the same channel. While waiting for it to arrive, I tried to epoxy the broken one and it appears to have worked. So...I ordered a new wing and tail so I will have two working Firebirds. Just need to add a prop to it. I made the epoxied one really ugly though so I wouldn't care if I wrecked it again.

Yeah, I remember the uglyXL image! I still think you need some lime green stripes across the wings. Perhaps even a few dozen of those gold stars teachers give to kids and a bunch of glitter! Add this pilot: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...hreadid=102243

Ahh. If you don't, I might have to. Someone's got to do it (lol!).

I see a Captiol Flyer wing in the image. How do you like that plane?

Adios,

Either you are a physic or you've been reading profiles. I'm a teacher so I'll have to see what kind of stickers I have in my room tomorrow.

Sold the Capitol Flyer without trying it after reading all the negative reviews on this board about it. (Didn't come across the board until after buying the plane). Took a 30 dollar loss on it.
