I can understand your frustrations, but under their "financial crisis", they are unable to comply.

I just hope that GWS are not hurting their company's image buy not releasing these models.

I only fly GWS planes and l-o-v-e them!! My only request is a set of simple combos to go brushless and fly with Lipos without any real worries.

(If anyone can help me link to a basic brushless motor with a lipo battery and esc for my GWS Cub I would be glad to buy from them)

That would be unfortunate... but not the end of the universe as we know it.

We actually did everything needed before making the moulds of the Jet glider, but its schedule has been postponed due to budget issues since last winter. While I've not been so told about another two ones.

I'd like to suggest using GWS motor GWBLM001 2205 + ESC15A or ESC25A + motor mount GWEMM28TS or GWEMM28A + 2S 7.4V 1050mAH Lipoly pack (GW/BP2S1P1050) + prop EP8040 on GWS Cub, but you have to modify its stock stick motor mount.

Thank you. I'll certainly keep on discussing these with Boss as possible as I could.

Yes the 2205/15 w/ESC15A is a good matchup.
A friend of mine used it with his CUB and it flew nicely.
He mounted a balsa fire wall and mounted the motor to it.
Watch the thrust line.
He used washers behind the mount.

It worked so well I bought the same combination for my Pico Moth.
Too bad I crashed it before I got to use the motor.

I wonder how much effort would it be to create an equipment-ready version for some of the existing kits:

- joined fuselage with appropriate servo wire extensions
- servo trays installed
- Hinged surfaces
- installed plastic parts where practical
- installed servo rods
- installed motor mount: GWS stick + GWS motor mount

Basically, once I get the kit, I install servos, Rx and motor, maybe paint or cover it with tape, bolt on the wing, and go.

For older, one-piece wing kits, the existing box could probably be used.

Hi nsg,

Yes, there's equipment-ready E-starter available in GWS USA, and we're working on release the RTF Pico Stick-F as well. These are all made at the basis of the older birds and R/C stuffs.

Chen,
I hope they have brushless motors.
Brushed motors are so pass'e.
NiCd & NiMh are ok if it comes with a plug-in charger.

Unfortunately, it looks like GWS is bungling brushed stuff with RTF E-Starter.. which is, how should I put it, a non-starter.

Chen - consider releasing some of the other kits - such as Corsair, Mustang, Beaver - in a semi-assembled form. And don't try to bundle them with brushed sets, you'll just waste your investment. The objective should be to create not an RTF, but a 99% completed ARF - control horns glued, surfaces hinged, etc. I think people will be ok with installing their own servos and other equipment, but not much more.

Yep, EPO version should retail about $160Usd and EPS about $150.

personaly i'd only offer EPO brushless and make it $180 - $190
