Yeah, nac's local park is awesome! Not only is it nice and cosy for flying foamies but it's just so pretty to look at!

You just got to watch out for those nasty trees They seem to jump out and grab planes every now and then.

I have been lucky so far I have managed to miss the trees but not the ground, but Groove baby I think got stuck twice so far.

I flew mine tonight in a brisk wind and I was doing full throttle knife edge spins at an insane rate, like 2 full spins for every wingspan of altitude lost. I also did a wind-assisted full throttle blender that was more insane than any I've done with any plane I own, foam or balsa!

IMHO the Ultima BX is hands-down the best hardcore 3D plane in its class. Everyone with an interest in 3D EPP foamies should get one!

Hey AT, good stuff! I think there's a place in everyone's EPP fleet for a plane like this .

nac and I had an awesome flying session at his pretty local park on Australia Day morning. nac got some excellent footage of my Ultima BX. The Ultima BX is a very aggressive 3D plane, so the camera person has to work very hard to keep up with it. nac did very well at keep it in the frame most of the time!

Here's a video from that session. I think it's worth clicking on the vimeo dot com link to watch the video from the vimeo website, as the video will be bigger and you'll also have the option of watching it full-screen if you want.

Thanks guys! nac and I had a lot of fun filming 2 flights of the Ultima BX. That video was made from the first flight and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

AT, why are you scared? Are you a plane hoon? . I must admit that probably crash this plane more than any other, since it's such crazy fun to push it really hard and I don't always get it right. nac flies his Ultima BX more gently than me and he also loves it.

Bob, if you want a super aggressive 3D plane, this is the one to get. It's still good at lower speeds/rates but if you'd prefer a plane that's a little more predictable then the Primus BX is probably the one to get. I haven't built mine yet, but I've watched nac fly his.

4Dim, which planes have you bought after watching my videos? I suppose you could send your bills to me .

BTW I just watched the raw footage from the 2nd flight and I reckon the best is yet to come . Not only is the flying more consistently aggressive, but nac 's camera skills are out of this world as he only loses track of the plane once in more than 5 minutes of flying. Now that I've hyped it up, I'll say this:
I'm not sure when I'll get around to making the next Ultima BX video as I still have some footage of other planes to deal with. I reckon the Ultima BX raw footage is pretty good as-is with no edits, apart from it being more than 5 minutes long which I think is a bit much for all but the most die-hard addicts .

The first video was great, can't wait for the second one .

One thing that would have tied me over was the delivery of my Ultima:-

Jan 27, 2010 4:24pm CHINA Item lodged
Jan 27, 2010 10:10pm CHINA - SHENZHEN EMS Processed - enroute to final destination.
Jan 29, 2010 10:23am AUSTRALIA - SYDNEY Received and awaiting clearance for delivery.
Jan 29, 2010 11:08am AUSTRALIA - SYDNEY Scheduled for delivery.

But it didn't quite make that last step before the Weekend .

At least I know it will show on Monday.
