My powered Moth clone (plank wing): http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=1987. The fuse is carved EPP, but the wings are $tree armin.

This is what I have so far. I plan to draw up a $tree fuse at some point soon.

A 40" probably wouldn't need the extra balsa wing spars, just the foam and main 36" spar would be enough.

Sweet! Thanks!

I just cut out the sidewinder missile from flight test's plans.

I might go 36" on the wing because I have an extra 350 outrunner to use and 40" would probably be a bit too heavy for the 350 to fly it well.

Going to try a UM4site rebuild with this foam. Took the paper off and lost more then half the weight of the board. Anyone try this before? Still on the fence of 2s or 1s conversion.

Here is my Lil Ripper by 3dMon built completely of $tree foam. I'm using a 1300 blue wonder 2C800 Lipo and 9x5 prop. Flys great the guy behind the radio needs some more practice though.

35mm edf F-86 screamer

my latest build is a "box fuse" F-86 that uses a stock SkyAngels 35mm fan unit and motor. very easy to build and flies awesome
I use 350-460mah 45c nanotechs to scream it along

enjoy

Joe: just looked at the vid and wow! that baby really cooks! How's the slower speed handling? Haven't done an edf yet, but I did get a fan/motor combo from HK recently, and your excellent work gets the juices going! Great job!

floats around very nicely at low speed, I have flown it easily at just under half throttle and have no trouble keeping altitude, the glide path is sweet, and it is so lite that it will take allot of abuse with no real damage, if you go through the build thread you'll see the "maiden" video, I bounced it into the ground "several" times...once quite hard, with not a mark on it, I had the CG off...then finally got it dialed and it flew right on out
