I'm working on a pattern plane similar to the old "Birdy" planes. This is all new to me so anyone who wants to add ideas can jump right in.

KFm are great for many builders, and they are here to stay. They do work well for the minimal work involved. They do shine in some aspects and fall short in others. So it all becomes a personal decison when one decides to invest time in building airframes.

I find that KFm airfoils take me as much time to make as a conventional airfoil, but are still fairly heavy, and can also be prone to twisting because of design. That coupled with higher stall speeds, and less lift generated for a given size. Many conventional airfoils can also fly much slower speeds yet provide a wider speed envelope.I have been flying RC for a number of years, and as a pilot I feel the airplane performs more to my liking with conventional airfoils. I prefer a conventional airfoiled wing for the looks too, also making it easier to create scale looking aircraft.

So it is my personal preferance to make my own aircraft with something other than KFm types. I just feel that they are more fun to fly. My flying style probably isn't the same as many here though.

Yes the Noobtube is a very good flyer. I have one that i covered in Express Mail tape.
Ok i am starting to work on the Arman wing now for the AJ Slick.

Here is an update on the Slick i am building, it is coming along nicely but not quite ready for the maiden yet.
