Indoor Flying Facility -Hampton VA

Local pilots,

Here's the latest from Wade
There will be an indoor flying session at the Boo Williams Sportsplex, Wednesday, 05/20/09 from 10:00AM until 2:00PM.

Flying will be in the State Farm Pavilion on the right side of the Sportsplex.

The below rates apply for flying inside the Sportsplex:

30-minutes - $3.00

1-Hour - $6.00

2- Hours - $10.00

There is no charge for watching, cheering, or similar forms of audience participation.

Indoor flying will be restricted to a maximum of 4-forward flying aircraft in the air at once.

Pilots must display a current AMA or Park Pilot membership.

Rubber mats are to be used for belly landing aircraft.

Tractor propellers must provide some form of floor protection.

There will be a Memorial Day R/C Indoor Fly-In at the Boo Williams Sportsplex, Monday, May 25th, 2009.

Pilots must display a current AMA or Park Pilot membership.

Tractor propellers must provide some form of floor protection.

Many local clubs and individuals surpassed expectations with generous contributions to support this Fly-In.

Sotos Patistas of Hampton Roads Imaging has donated award plaques for 1st Place in the Limbo and Pylon Racing events. I recommend you track him down for any engraving needs you or your club may have.

Phil of NNPRC, John and Buck of CVA, and Van Dover of the BrainBusters have generously supported and directed event organizers towards invaluable resources necessary to make this event come to fruition.

For people traveling from Williamsburg and Points North
Take I-64E
Take exit 261B for Hampton Roads Center Parkway E
Merge onto Hampton Roads Center Parkway and cross Armistead Avenue to enter the Boo Williams Sportsplex parking lot.

For people traveling from Suffolk, Chesapeake
Take I-664 North toward Newport News
Merge onto I-64 West via exit 1A on the Left toward Williamsburg/Richmond
Merge onto VA-134 N/MAGRUDER BLVD. via exit 262B toward NASA/Poquoson
Turn Right on Hardy Cash Drive
Turn Left on Coliseum Drive
Merge Right onto Hampton Roads Center Parkway and cross Armistead Avenue to enter the Boo Williams Sportsplex parking lot.

For people traveling from Norfolk, VA BEACH
Begin on I-64 West toward Hampton/Richmond

I think I can speak for everyone their, we had a blast. Between flying and talking and having so much fun I keep forgetting to take any pictures but I did get some video but wish I had got more. I just put it all together and uploaded it so here it is.
