elogger is part of the OSD. They work in conjunction with each other.

The GoPro takes pretty good HD video in a variety of conditions, with the exception of Low Light.

But it is not the best at Live feed video. It has something to be desired.

I would think that you would want to get the best video possible to your ground station recorder and to your on board HD cam...

1.2/1.3mhz 1.5watt vtx and a yagi antenna on the video receiver. Would this be sufficient in your opinion?

The GPS sensor is necessary for recovery of the gondola. I also have a spot GPS that I can use as well, but I was looking to try to simplify.

I am also considering lifting an RC airplane (instead of a gondola) and then fly it back. (as far as I am concerned there is no need for a gondola anymore, just lift an RC plane to 80,000 feet and then fly it down with video link.) What are your thoughts?( I know there are some high altitude aerodynamics to consider here, but it would be an interesting experiment anyway.) I am a pilot for Southwest Airlines so I am somewhat familiar.

I will consider both methods for the video feed (Go Pro / Security Cam). I saw on futurehobbies.com that they have the wiring harness for rigging up a GoPro to transmitter.

M-beeson, thanks you for taking the time to pass along some info! I appreciate it.

Hi guys.
I need some help.
I'm getting a lot of noise on my audio.
I made few tests. If I disconnect video out from osd to vtx and transmit only audio from osd Mic/Alarms, the sound is very clear.
If I connect video out in vtx, a lot of noise in the sound. Still hearing voices/alarm but with a lot of noise together.
I'm using separate 3s battery to vtx (lawmate), camera (pixim seawolf), and mic (electret). Ground between (camera, bat, mic) connected do osd. I already tried the 10k resistor inline between audio out of osd and vtx. Same thing.
Any another suggestions?

For me, I had to reduce the 'white balance" in the OSD screen sub menu. No clue why it worked, but that's what I was told to do and it worked.

things touching things makes interference so spreading it all out and taping it to the plane might be all you need to make it go away. get it doing it and move stuff on the table if nothing else, see if theres a change

put the logger with the esc and keep that away from everything. if you have a bec, keep it near there too. then move away from there in one direction with your osd, camera, then vtx, put the rc control stuff on the other side. it can be front and rear, side to side, whatever, just not piled up together

left is rc rx, right side is vtx, middle is all the loud stuff and spread apart

That was in the forefront of my mind. I made a mental note when you posted that...
