So David, Do you NOT recommend the use of the ZS4025-14? We have the planes on the way, but now power system. Or do you recommend customers use only the ZS4025-16?

Hey guys, I just ordered mine, but I choice to go with the scorpion 4025-16 on a g3 6 cell 4200, will try several different props. I have 5 scorpion motors, and I luv them all,no problems, and sence they make the Hyeprion motors I doubt If I will notice that much diffrence for me, sport flyer, ethier motor should be great on 6 cells.

My bad. They do have a 16 turn motor, I just looked in the wrong place.

16T should be in USA within the next 7~10 days. Hang on...

Here is the prop data for the 16T motor on 6S. test used VX5500mAh, so a smaller or lower-c-rated pack will draw a bit less. For most Setups, 17x12 is the best place to start, imo, maybe up to 18x12 depending on personal preference and flying style.

FEATHERMERCHANT: A 16T motor is on the way to you today, with 17x12 prop. Please test fly and include the Zs40 motor info in the Ezone review, thanks.

BTW, I just noticed the rpm figures were too high in the first GIF image posted. RDU "magnet count" was set to "8" rather than the 14 for the Zs4025 (we were testing speed motors with 8 magnets earleir this week) GIF now has corrected rpm numbers...

After picking up the first Wolf II in OZ last week it was great to finally get a chance to fly her today.

She is running a ZS4025 swinging a 19x8 on 5s (5000) and flys extremely well. I did an amp draw test with a soft pack and found about 55 amps for a bit over a 1000 watts.

It was a bit gusty today but I had a hankering to fly some I decided to give it a go anyway. Takeoff was a gentle 5 metres into a soft climb. This power setup is definitely not unlimited vertical but it is more than enough to fly the plane and recover if needed. To be honest I bombed around on half throttle for most of the time.

Stall was the biggest surprise, I expected her to be a typical bipe and drop a wing but she just mushed and the nose slowly dropped, power on and away.

Landing was typical for a bipe and definitely one with a nose like this. Power on landings are a must. Here is where the wind became an issue. Power positive flying into a landing that is just below takeoff speed gets real interesting with the a gust at touchdown. The airframe is so light that power off on touchdown still takes the plane a while to become firm on the ground.

Anyway this ones definitely a keeper, well done guys.

Can't wait to try 6s next weekend with a slightly smaller prop.

mine is almost done, bench test with g3 4200 6 cell on a 18 x 12 xoar wood is running 1150 watts at 55amps. I am using a new scorpion 4025-16. It has a lot of pull, I could go as much as 70amps max and 2000 watts, not sure if I need that, hope to fly it buy next week.

With no manual to go on this is where I am flying with a 5000 5s battery pak located. The line marks the BACK of the pack. I think I can start to experiment with moving the pak back slightly, although I think I will experiment going forward a bit first

the manuel says 3.5 from leading edge of top wing, I am using a 4200 6 cell, I will let you no where my comes up. going to try to use cg machine, dont think i can because of size of the plane, I can always make one using 2 2x4 with pegs in each one....
