Yes! it is bad ! so we import models need very carefully the damaged hear are from RH ,no more next time !, so that why i need design ourself and make it in reliable cnc factory and i management the cnc factory to control the quality , So the deao head are ok and no complain in the quality and this new come Copter X are also good !

Beautiful head...Can't wait to see what my 5 bladed one looks like !
Would be nice if it was all black...

The copter x one is nice.. But the simplicity of the other one (5 bladed) that has no anti rotation bracket should be even better !

a lot of people are converting their CopterX heads into a rigid one, since the flaping hing is not working very well with stabilisation systems. If you are using softer blades, like the very nice asymetric spin blades, the flaping hinge is not very usefull, neither. The behaviour of the heli will be very soft, since the resulting damping is to big. I will make mine rigd, too. Lets see, how my Bo 105 will behave afterwards... .

Shhhh...dont let the secret out! I got some shims on order to tighten up mine, getting kind of tired of the 'plate on a stick' effect on the disk upon transitions myself

Hi ! I still alive !!!!!!!!!!! Some day no ba la ba la ....here! but i bring some good news ! The 600 size scale narrow blades are completed . It have two version ,round tip version (euro copter ) .and the Apache swept tip verion . Both syemmatical and make from injection mold . This 600 version are harder material .the carbon % are trim higher .so sport flying are better . the blades screw hold are passed the test over 600 lb . it is 100% safty blades ! i will post the photo soon . The Blue thunder process are become complete . And TF model are coming out the detail scale parts , it have the pitch control stick ,door hinge , RHF Antenna( some different size ). rain brush,wire cutter (some size ),....some item have forget !so i am very busy and not much time here this month . Sorry !

I completed mine today and the behaviour of the head is completely different. Before the mod, my Bo was controllable, but it handled a bit like a pregnant rubber cow... . Even in little winds, the heli tried to break out easily... .

Now it handles like a charm. It reacts directly to the controlls, the blade tracking, which has always been a problem in the past is correct. Even light wind isn't noticeable at all. I'm very happy with my rigid head... .

Just insert 4 small tubes with inner diameter of 4 mm and an outer diameter of 4.5mm and you are done... .

But I think, we should discuss this in another thread... . :-)

KIN, are you going to build a Gazelle, after the Blue Thunder is finished ?

Rigid head is much better when using flex blades ..... I guess when mechanically setup correctly e-stab will only make it easier to fly. I tried flapping head for 30 days last year; only to switch it back to rigid.

Tubes eh? Interesting. I'm going with Tamiya shims...4mmx6mm by .1 .2 .3 (we'll see what the total used is). Should get rid of the in/out play of the existing spacer to oring, and compress the oring tightening up the grip.

I fly my 600 with a fully hinged grip head and I can't tell any difference between that and the 500 which uses a rigid head. Both are responsive and neither of the two have any issues.

yes! it landed in a airport in USA !the airport name www.scaleflying.com it have only 4 piece in the first batch .So you must order to Cliff asap. it is super light germany epoxy made . you are the lucky guy ! Because the 600 mm narrow scale blades are completed same time !!

Now we have the scale blades list is : 700mm Seahawk/Apache swept tip ,700 mm eurocopter round tip ,600 mm Apache/SeaHawk tip ,600 mm eurocopter round tip , 430 mm straight , 310mm Apache /black hawk swept tip ,310mm straight . The 600 and 700 mm will post in website soon . Now are the flying test only , it successful the screw force test in over 800 lb .

Did you leave out the windows in the clam shell doors?

Outstanding timing, as I need a set of the swept tip blades for my TFModel/SmartModel big Jayhawk and 600 size Apache AH-64.

The chassis for the Jayhawk is being assembled using a CastleCreations 110HV ESC,CC HV Pro BEC, 10s 6400mah Lipo packs and a 600rpm/vdc Xera 4035/2Y V2 BL motor with a 10 tooth pinion.

Should be a sweet setup for a big scale model with four blade head and four blade tail.
