2009 Colorado Super77th Foamy Combat Fun Fly is ON!

Attention all Slope Combat Pilots!!

You are invited to participate in this years 2009 Super77th Airborne Foamy Combat Fun Fly, an all out aerial Combat over Colorado's High Country.

The Super77th Airborne RC Combat club is proud to announce 9th Annual Foamy Combat Fun Fly Weekend. Saturday and Sunday June 27th and 28nd. The Event will be held on Williams Peak "South Ridge", in Heaney Colorado. World Class RC slope soaring.

Events: All day Combat (see rules page on web site)

When: Saturday and Sunday June 27 & 28, 2009

Entry Fee: $25.00 includes T-shirt ($20 long sleeve this year) and $5.00 Donation to Summit County Search and Rescue. You can Opt-Out of the T-shirt and then registration is only a $5.00 Donation, the total will be donated to Summit County Search and Rescue. Last year we had 40 pilots show up so that would be a $200 donation. This Non-Profit method of registration is in an effort to prevent people from reserving channels and T-shirts and then not showing up to the event. You can register at our web site http://super77th.com

Directions: Williams Peak "South Ridge". From Silverthorne take HWY 9 north to Green mountain reservoir. Go past the reservoir 1 mile and take a right on Williams peak road (Dirt Road no houses). Go 6 miles up dirt road to the top, take a right after the 6 Mile marker and go 1/4 mile till you see open ridge and wind flags. 4X4 recommended although I have gotten my Toyota mini van up there. It is a VERY rough road so be prepared. Takes about 30 minutes to get up the road. The winds at south ridge are INSANE, well worth the drive up.

Camping: Yes, we will be camping Friday & Saturday night, there may be a fire ban in national forest, so dress warm if you are planning on camping, bring stove, water, food, drink, beer, tent, propane heater, and any thing else you can think of, there is no power or facilities at the top of Williams Peak, nothing but a couple of great camping spots, plenty of room for every one.....

Reserve your channel: Check the Reserved channel list, Channels are reserved to maximize stick time for pilots, please reserve only open channels. One reserved channel per pilot. If you are using a 2.4 Ghz radio then you can register at any time, NO open channel is needed.

Details and Event registration can be found on our web site:

I am already set up to be there. I was surprised too by the lack of comments and trash talk. I could start some but there is no point getting involved with the inferior crowd.

Hi Justin,
I really think it would be in our best interest this year to rent some porta potties.

no excuses,,they are nessesary to keep our area clean and bug free.

Theres way too many people there for too many days not to have one.

JMHO so make it so #1

Thanks,,we will all appreciate it.

Personally I thought you did a great job last year when we built the poop outhouse. I don't even what to imagine what it would be like bringing a porta pottie back down that road.

Looking forward to the event!!

Actually It was a nice Idea but it seemed like it was only used the 1st day,,
after that,,Well,,,

I'm as poor as I've ever been but I would try to spring for the porta potty myself just to make the event better if someone would price it and arrange it.

of course approving the price with me before holding me to the deal.

I can't imagine I couldn't afford it..

I'll also tote it back down the hill if needed.

UM, i guess you did not stay up there last year, we built a killer outdoor potty with toilet seat and TP, and magazines.....

Cant get better than that... hahaha. i asked 2 companies if they would bring one up there and they both refused to bring it up that road...
