This is my own design(but you may recognize the scheme). Pwoered by $20 GWS 300 and hovers at bewteen 1/4 and 1/2 throttle and flys for 8 minutes on 720's. Would be even better on poly's but wanted to keep it cheap. Hacker b20 on polys would be best but if you want a cheap, durable(foam fuse) that you can hover all day long, then this plane with GWS set-up is awesome! This a picture of The 3D Tempter hovering. Doesn't just hang there at full throttle, but pulls out explosively. Guys thought I had a brushless in it at an indoor fly last night.

How much does she weigh? What are some of the specs on her? She looks great though.

The only thing I'd be leary about is the life of the GWS motor on 10 cells.

As with all aerobatoc planes they are not designed to fly at full bore all the time. most flying is done at 1/2 throttle. 10 cells allows you to hover at half throttle, with power in reserve to climb out and provides longer run times, as you are only using half the power for a majority of the flight. rarely do i go above 3/4 throttle and mine has lasted for abou 20-25 flights thus far.

12.5 oz including 8x720 NiMH? AF 010 would be comfy in there too.

I want an ARF.

It's not hovering on the "power" of the GWS 300. It's hovering on the POWER of 10 cells satisfying whatever the prop is pulling. Remember with electrics the motor is only transmitting the power. Not producing it. Several packs of 10 cells and a charger to keep you flying...considerably more than $20 even in US dollars.

Great plane btw - you've really optomized the power system for a specific purpose and that's great engineering.

I wouldn't recommend that setup if you're planning on selling them. You personally may be able to control the throttle indoors or even have the discipline to control it outdoors, but the vast majority of us like to use the whole stick range There have been plenty of complaints about letting the smoke out of 300 motors on --8-- NiMH cells, 10 cells is asking for very short motor life.

The GWS EPS-300-D has a 6.6:1 gear ratio. What size prop are you using?
