I always wanted a flying boat and I finaly got around to building one.
The one I shose was the RCpowers F1 Hydro 3D
All the pieces cut out
3mm carbon tube in place
Bevel the control surfaces
Verry nice hinge tape
Starting building the spons
I use 5minute epoxy for the spons
Making sure that they are watertight
Sealing them up
Cutting and sanding them down
On with the fusulage using UHU pur
Vertical stabaliser in place
Du-Bro hinges for the tail
Thats one days work.
Will post more as I go.

Very smooth lines.
I have made 4 of these including my special 3/4 size with a K/f Airfoil.

Copping the canopy
Magnet latch for the canopy
All servos mounted
Ball-links are nice
Speed controller mounted
Training wheel wings on
Reinforcement of the spons
I was planning on only testing driving it around on the ground but after a short while I got a litle carried away...
Can you spot it?
Thats what happends if you fly in a small space on a maiden flight
Nothing to big, a couple of minutes on the bench and she's good to go \m/

Nice catch Mr. Tree!
Re-build and Refly!
All those nice aluminum control horns...and a towerpro motor??!!....aaak!
Just kidding I have one too.
This Bird really flies well with a parkjet motor and a 6x4 apc prop
Heres a video of mine :http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=975630&page=2

Very nice pictures dadde! I'm also building one of these, just started to cut out the pieces. Wich Tower pro motor do you use? does it give enough power??

H2o Buffalo: Hehe, yeah it does look a litle funny with the bling bling and the cheep-o motor But the towerpro motors are awsome!
I can belive that a parkjet motor and a 6*4 prop would make this plane really fly!
I use a verry tame setup on mine at the moment with a 2409-12T with a 8*4DD prop on a 2s1000mAh. I will change the prop to a 7*3.5 and run it on 3s to make it a litle more crazy
Here is a video of the boat flying in the Hjo harbor:
And here is another fun thing you can do with this plane:
