Cheers for that gear mod Chris!

This will be my second edge 540 as I demolished the first one with an el'cheapo receiver, I got my new turnigy tx system today and I've got a bit of time off next week so hopefully this little project can see the air!

Are these little Pro-Tronik Servos enough to suit this plane anyone pls?

Yes, because those of 9 g. are more than enough.

I'm flying mine with Hobbyking HK933 servos all round. Powertrain is a TGY 2836 910KV with a HK 60A ESC, powered by a 2200mah 3S lipo...

Prop is a Master Airscrew 9x7 3 blade

Plane is a bit heavy but she likes it, with the recommended setup (1300mah and a 11x6 prop) it has enough power to ROG, but this plane flies better with some extra speed.

CG is about 7cm/3" off LE. AUW=950 grams

I just bought 1 yesterday at an RC air show.
For $60 couldn't let that pass me by. Been looking around and go for
as muck as $130 to $200.
The instructions are in German. Lol.
What size motor do you recommend for 3d flying????

I bought this Edge 540 from Tower Hobbies. I started the build.
I'm surprised to see that this is a dead thread, and didn't know that the plane was in production since 2009.

Any advice on the build would be appreciated.

Tower Hobbies is now selling the Red Bull Edge 540 in the US. Several sizes, I have the 1200mm one.
