If it is the hull I think it is, She has been at the Center for Wooden Boats
for years. When I was there earlier this month, there were several
areas of the hull that had been replaced with plywood. Probably a
hopeful temporary fix. Unfortunately the economy has all kinds of victims.

Yah, this is a sad day. have been on board a couple of times and marveled at the tight living spaces even though it is a large vessel. Many attemps to save the old girl have failed. Unfortunently here in the Puget Sound area, most seem to want to forget about the seafairing life that made this area what it is. I guess too many poeple moved here that do not appreceite the maritime history. Most see a classic historic vessel as one taking up valuable realestate that could be developed and a profit made by some one. Had the same thing happen in Annacortes late last year when they removed the old tig Enchantress from where she was left to rott. It was to be restored but was damaged in transit and emergecy docking had it over some old pillings that peirced the hull when the tide whent out. It had become an iconic symbol that was photographed against a beatiful background. It had become home to several birds that included eagles. But instead of viewing it as a veteran resting in a retirement community, a handfull saw it as an eyesore and wanted it removed. Now she is just a memory, like the wawona will soon be.

Good news is that check out the great three views on the website, maybe (hint sailors) could make a nice scale model of her?

Not just plans, but plenty of photos too.
And a schooner is easier to R/C than a square rigger!

Was sad to see it leaving on the news. At least she moved on her own hull and the guys at Western Tow Boat treated her with respect on this final voyage.
