It does not appear that this kit will lend itself to very many modifications. I'm not sure that I even want to build it. I've never cared for composite kits.

Yeah Bill
If your the type (like me) that likes his own take on stuff then the byron kits are not where you need to be. The instructions "think" diferently than most. Tom shouldnt have any probs he's from Iowa LOL. They make good flyers all the same

Yup, If this Iowan had the $$$, I'd offer to buy the kit. The STA has been on my list for some time.

Hey!

Less talking and more working people. We have a plane to finish here.

Have you got those wing tanks installed yet?

If you want, Tom, I have the 1/3 STA plans on PDF. I'll be glad to send you a copy. It's a monoplace version plan drawn by Burnis Fields to Model Airplane News. Needs some detailing to be scale and a G-38. BTW have you guys ever seen a monoplace ST-A? Every freakin' picture I found on internet was from biplaces...

Take a look at the one that Maxey Hester did. Sig kitted the model. They were actually dual place airplanes with a cover over the front cockpit. The Byron is actually molded with the front cockpit covered. You have to open it up to have the tandem setup.

Thanks for the offer, Wil. I'll keep it in mind.

My Hostetler Fairchild 24 kit finally showed up, so I've got stuff to keep me occupied for a while.
