Joe, we both use automotive products. Both of us prefer PPG. (Available through Thirlby's in TC)

Other brands of high quality auto paints may also be suitable, but we both have a comfort factor with PPG.

Since your Dauntless is relatively small, the glassing and priming stages will be the same as ours, but you could get by with less expensive paints, due to the smaller quantities needed.

Assembled another new toy this evening... I had won a bid on ebay a few weeks ago. A Wattage Cessna 195,.. no longer in production. Changed a few things,.. mainly the brushed motor. Upgraded the motor too a E-Flite 400. Just need to install the ESC & 2.4 Rx. We all need a model of a model don't we ? Glenn

Now that is WAY cool.

How big (little) is the baby 195...since the wing chord is so big on the giant one it's tough to get an idea from the picture not being familiar with the motor you have in the one you've been building.

Great work on the tail feathers. Nice thing about working with large scale models, you can put so much detail in them without breaking the bank on wing loading.

Hurry ??? That's not in the cards. LOL I've been working on my house and yard. My projects for this week are to build a fence and paint my shed.

David; the baby 195 has a wing span of 35" inches. Wing loading of 28 oz & a cord of 7" inches, Vs/ 100"+ wing span and 23" inch cord. Say'... 1/4 scale of 1/4 scale... lol'

Ha... one day you can stack both models on the windscreen of a fullsize. That'd be a pic!

Been doing a good deal of flying lately, but I'm slowly getting back building. Overall, working mostly on the corrugated surfaces, very time consuming & not one of my favorites to do... Here I finished up the right elevator and on to the other side... Oh-joy'... G.

Hey Joe',.. yep I'm here... work has been busy... I'm waiting for an order to arrive, ran out of plastic. Also, I've been working on finishing restoring my 72 Honda, almost done w/it. G.

Is it a SOHC/4 or twin?
I picked up a project bike in April, '74 CB550K0.
The front end needs some tlc and carbs are coming off for a good cleaning and seal replacement. Tank & side covers getting a fresh coat of paint. All the dirt getting removed as well as some oil/dirt...

Well, back too building the 195. Working on laying out panel lines & rivets on the cowl. There are a lot of rivets. Paying Tom a visit this coming weekend... Petoskey Fun Fly... road trip.

We had a small radial engine gathering at our field over the weekend and one of our guests brought his new Seidel 7 cylinder radial. I had a chance to hold it up to the Hosttetler 195 plans, looks nice.

Any thoughts about this for powering the 195? It would be a great scale look and the engine was a delight to hear run.
