Jut looked at the Google Alert high wind warning and national Weather service warnings and East Hartford seems to be exactly in the center of the warning area.

Good luck for the next few hours mate.

Weird DELL power supply

I do not know much about electronic, but I know how to use a voltmeter. I find this very weird. I bought this DELL power suppy, model number 7001049-Y000 930 watts 77.5 amps output. I hooked the Triton EQ charger to it and after the 4th charge, I got a time out error. Could not clear it, so I turned it off and when putting it back on, I only get ''electryfly tritoneq'' messages on the screen and it does not go into the menus.
When I take readings on the DELL power supply between the positive and negative lead I get:
1 when off, I read 1.12 V DC and 2.0 V AC
2 when on, I read 12.53 V DC and 27.0 V AC
3 I read the same voltages if I take the reading between the positive lead and the power supply frame
All this with the fan on low, if I put the fan on high, all the voltages AC and DC go down a bit.
I wish I had a oscilloscope to check the waves. From what I can conclude, it is not giving me a straigh DC voltage like when coming from a car battery. So I assume the electronic is bad. I have a 12V Canadian Tire power supply that I use to plug car stuff in it and it does not do that, gives only DC voltage.
I am not to crazy about connecting another Triton EQ or other chargers to it and stop working after a while.

What is your oppinions on this???
Thanks

Try connecting a 16V 2200uF electrolytic capacitor in parallel with the DC output of the PSU.
Then check for AC on the output.

Up here in WNY we just got a lot of rain and wind but not even close to hurricane proportions. They cancelled school for my kids, but they probably didn't need to. They got hit a lot harder in other places, kids weren't complaining though

Doing OK. Lost power for a bit after Sandy came through. Some trees are down. We were very lucky in CT.

With increasing current, the voltage increases on current share pin. Maybe not linear but logarithmic eventually.

What is the idle power consumption of the DPS-2000bb?
