An original Herrera Monterey kit just went for $483:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200338929343 and it doesn't even have the optional Hicks motor kit! I was thinking about it... until the bids went north of $250... I'd rather build my own from wood... in 1:6... sure would like to have a Hicks... |

Must have been chilly in that pic, what with the sweatshirts---.
Notice that they have embroidered "Hansen Dam Irregulars" hats---? Kinda cool---.

Pat,where did you get that catboat? It says "Osterville,Ma" on it and that's where the Crosbys started making boats. They are famous for their catboats up there abd the town is next to where I lived as a kid on the Cape. My very first ride in a sail boat was in Wychmere Harbor in Harwichport in a catboat owned by a lovely lass named Mary Jackson. She and I worked the summer of 1960 at the Snow Inn at Wychmere and the boat was a Crosby exactly like your model. Now there are some great memories. Pete
