Subscribed looks really nice site Gray cannot wait to bring down the Hawkeye 28.

Pencil me in for the camping as well, if it's up to me I'll defiantly be coming just depends what work I can land by then.
Interview on Monday so you never know.

Good work Gray!

If there is a specific event on over the same weekend we may find it an AP opportunity or a limiting factor, depending on the nature of the show. I am happy to go with the flow and see what we can do.

10 mins of of google-earthing and ukcampsite searching reveals some interesting sites in the vicinity: (Flight of locks and another windmill to add to our collection!)

Holt Farm

Also see GE image below for another accommodation possibility..

And this is just for starters! I am sure other folks can find some good stuff too.

Cheers!

Andrew

What's that? A narrow boat or an AP craft?

Good luck on the jobs front..
Fingers crossed

Gray,

Will help with a poll on the thread if you'd like (or a separate poll thread)...

Looks a good site (well done to you and Rossmans for finding it) and will definately be looking to Camp this year... make a weekend of it...

Cheers,

Terry.

Interesting looking large farm/country house about 1.2 miles to the NNW - might be worth scouting it for a shoot?

Going off the size of it's I'd go for a Narrow boat Cheers Andrew looking forward to this years meet.

BTW all the video cameras have been sold, due to my current predicament (it was video or stills) and the stills gear is worth more to me, personally speaking, and for the freelance work.

I'll still bring the Sony HC9e down even though the quality blows the XL2 out of the water the zoom and controls have much less potential I'm a afraid, so it may really struggle to film the aircraft this year.

A few possibilities for the weekend sir?

Thanks guys for your input. I did a search around the area and found a few subjects we could possibly photograph. I couldn’t find the place you were on about Adam?

Google these, especially Chesterton windmill!

Now there's a photo opportunity..
AP aircraft circle above launch site snapping vertically down as rocket rises from below. (Would need a calm day and a big field)

It would be really unlucky to get a direct hit, but the video footage would be v popular online!

Cheers

Andrew

PS: Going back 15 years, my largest rocket was a "D" size 2 stage vehicle, with which I managed to incinerate a hedge!

See if this link works

FARM

If not, check out the oxbow in the Leam river about 1.2 miles NNW of the exhibition centre - the farm is in the middle of it.

Poll for the Month of the "2009 UK AP Meeting" Posted up...

Each person has the option to tick June or July or even tick BOTH (if either one is fine - it's a multiple choice poll)... Once we have a good response we will then start to poll on dates within the most popular month.

Cheers All,

Terry.

HI Andrew, I have tried to get an aerial view of a rocket launch from Kite with some success, but never nailed a complete launch and only got the smoke.

As for Rocket motors I still fly "D" motors but I now launch as big as "J" class motors (1 "J" equals approx 64 D motors) see photo below.

Hope to see you at the meet.

happy flying

Pete
