Which Blackhawk model to get

Well, I've not been that anxious to order a Blackhawk kit, since I mostly scratch build. But, since Blackhawk is selling/shutting down, I figured I'd best order one of the Scientific designs that Blackhawk made before all the inventory is gone.

So, which Scientific based Blackhawk model should I get, and what distributor should I order from?

I just became the newest Black Hawk dealer this week and as I was setting it up I asked them about there status. Still looking for someone to buy it but will keep it open until April 2016 if no buyers.

The Stuntmaster is one of Scientific's classic designs. Good flyer too.

Maybe the Stuntmaster. I'll probably pick up two kits. Maybe even three, since I'm a packrat. I've been wondering about the Kellet Autogyro for about a year. I've seen pictures of finished planes, but no flight reports. Does anyone know how they fly?

I haven't seen one fly in person but there are some on you tube if that helps.

They fly as well as they are built. They're small, fast flying 1/2A models with solid wings. If you build them with care to align them pefectly, shape them exactly as designed, and then hollow the fuselage out with a Moto-Tool/Dremel, that'd be a good start. Then if one should finish one well, it'd look good too. Then if one is a good C/L flyer, the little Scientific/Blackhawk model of your choice should fly in a slightly more than level flight able way, at a really quick clip, if flown on .008 wire lines and a good Cox 049 to Norvel/Wasp 061 with the correct prop and fuel, provided the break-in is proper.
That should cover it!
Ever fly a 1/2A C/L model, Mark?

Almost all of the models in the Black Hawk Models line will do basic stunts - loops, wing overs and figure eights, built straight from the box. This is proven every year in the over 5 musciano contest held across the country. The Autogyro will NOT stunt do to it's rotor effect, but it flys well.

My brother flew a ZigZag through the entire stunt pattern-less laps between at a NVCL Musciano event.
Musciano told him " That plane isn't supposed to be able to do that."

Pick one, there won't be a huge shift in performance.
The Golden Eagle has always shown nice lines.

These kits like originals before them are not what designer planed. Wings were made thinner as wood was cheaper to buy. There was a market from folks who crashed ARF Cox planes etc. back in the day. Original kits were $3.00/ #4.00 each. Some even lower. Originals had thin al. sheet for cowl that nobody ever got to stay on. Get anything going fast enough/ balanced is going to fly.
