X-UAV "Super Sky Surfer 2000" 79in. span powered glider
Yeserday I recieved one o these Kits and looked for a thread about it. I found. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...0#post24394081 From the descriptions in this thread it would appear that my model is not a Super Sky Surfer 2000.This being so I have decided to open a new Build Thread.
Relevant to this thread are the following posts.
I re-post the pictures that I have so far taken. to allow an idea of the size of my model.
I am waiting on servos, motor and an ESC before i start this build. They should arrive next Monday.

Hay Ken...its been a while. How did the Super Surfer 2000 work out? Did it come with hinges or use compressed foam seams as a hinge like many foamies do? At 2000 it's the best size IMO as the 2400 is bigger than needed to carry a small FPV setup and 1500 (Bixler2) is too small loaded up with batteries to keep the speed low enough for my needs. But Bix2 has real hinges and that for me (and anyone that has dealt with foam hinges that are hard to bend when new eating up RX battery energy (and servos) with hinges failing later when loose) makes a huge difference and the Bixler2 a standout in foam plane development. If the SS2400 had real hinges then the money spent would be worth it. But my question is: does the 2000 have real hinges and how does it fly?
