ABOUT THE BUILD
I cut the parts with my Dremel 200 which was slightly under powered but finished the job. I would really like to invest in CNC router at some point. I started to build a power harness something I actually enjoy doing but I opt out to save connectors and wire for a new build. My Turnigy 5000mAh pack just came in yesterday .
I did not have proper mounting hardware for the props so I decided to put heat shrink on the motor axles push the props down over the heat shrink then I added a few layers of heat shrink to make caps along with a dab of CA. I inspect them before each flight and this method seems to be working perfect right now. I have to really do some outdoor aggressive flights to really find out.
The FY90Q does not like vibration at all so I decided I would fly a few packs before adding the top to compare since I would be mounting the cover with velcro directly to the FY90Q. After putting a few packs through I did not notice any difference in the flight so as of right now it works fine with the plastic bowl on top.
The motors are a little loud but the control is awesome it flies as if it were on wires. Very stable, even in ground effect approx. 5 inches or so. I would like different props not really sure if I like the tri blades for this model. I hope you enjoyed this post. Take care, best wishes !
