I've seen ~400m on BOSCOM stuff with stock antennas. I was actually impressed with those results and will be pushing out further now that I have some decent antennas.

HK 5.8ghz 500mw Video Testing (1 min 1 sec)

After this test I gave away the 500mw TX and bought a 400mw system instead. Didn't like the fan on the 500mw system.

I'm using predator v1 goggles with the integrated reciever, 100mW immersionRC transmitter, and CP antennas. I think I get around 1.5 football fields before I start getting drop outs. I'm waiting on a 600mW Immersion RC transmitter to come in, should give me a bit more freedom w the 6 mins of of flight time I have.

I'm wondering, can I point my transmitter CP antenna down? I don't like how close my antenna is to my naza GPS. Do I need to also point my reciever antenna downwards as well.

You guys running 5.8ghz - particularly immersion stuff - what's your range you are seeing?

Here's some pictures I did this weekend with the quad. I was doing a test run with the GoPro seeing how well I can stitch things together. The idea is to point the camera down and have it take higher resolution pictures of the ground. Giving me a higher resolution image on oh say Google Maps. Sadly when I tested the downward facing photography my white balance got screwed up. Lesson here is to wait until the quad is in the air before triggering the camera.

14 pictures stitched together...

About 30 pictures stitched together...

What software are you using to stitch the images?

I've been busy with a quad too:

Those were done in Photoshop using Photomerge. When I ran them in Autostitch it didn't do to good of a job figuring things out.

Aye. Thanks.

You're lucky to have that field in your back yard...perfect for quad flying.

I've actually flew my Skywalker over there before. Landing on the trail is interesting since it's always a cross wind right on the lip of a ledge.

Yesterday's fun at lunch:
FPV Chase Fun (7 min 30 sec)

Straight upload from gopro. looks a bit washed out because i was using protune and didn't "tune" anything

It's was fun trying to chase with FPV. MRs are definitely drag machines... takes a lot of juice to keep up with planes.
