Best RTR 1/8 Buggy

I am looking for the best all around 1.8 RTR buggy out there. I know it
will not be competitive with the Mugen MBX pro Specs and the Kyosho Kanaii
777 cars but I need something that is reasonably priced that will hold up on
a track and be a little competitive with other cars. Any suggestions??

Howdy,

I second the guy that said Jammin X1 or the Hyper 7, probably in that order.
If you go for the Hyper 7, I would choose the PBS version, but that's just
me. Here in Australia the XTM buggy is popular for starting, and extremely
cheap. Its marketed as the Rex-X here, but I think its called the
X-Terminator or something else in the States.

Before you decide, you might want to attend some local races and see what
the guys are running (yeah I know mostly high end kit cars) but they might
give you some clues. The other thing to do is to google around the shops in
your area and see what buggies are well supported in the parts department.

One thing's for sure, I would *never* choose an Inferno MP7.5 RTR Sports.

Interesting, they are marketed as Rex-X here in South Africa too.
